Gorgeous and delicate cranberry-violet flowers cover this vine in late summer. Flowers on new wood so you cut it back every spring to 2'. This is one of the easier clematis plants to grow. It really takes off it's second year so don't expect too much the first year....but often that is the name of the game with perennial plants....to keep your patience pants handy and know that good things come to those that wait and whisper sweet nothings to their plants in the meantime. It's a climber so benefits greatly from some form of trellis. Prefers average, well-drained but moist soil. Keep the roots cool. Plant patented, so no propagation is allowed.
